Hong Kong Nov 2012

view from room 1414 Crowne Plaza Causeway Bay

Very cool and nice weather in Nov.
The hotel room is very spacious and new.
Free wi-fi in room if you are a priority club member.
Must visit is the Club@28 on the roof terrace. The view should be stunning but we missed it because it was raining on the night we went for our drink.

Major shopping malls like Time Square and  Sogo are within walking distance.

Taipei 九份

A hilly place to visit. It is often raining 2/3 of the year.
Bring brolly or raincoat. Rain usually in the morning.
By noon, it should stop but floor will be still wet.
Wear pants so that the wet will not stick to your legs.

Wild boar meat - a must-try, very delicious.

Gardens by the Bay - under construction

MBS infinite pool

This is the section that is 'no kid zone'
Make sure you allocate a full day to enjoy 'the top of the world' feeling.
Come early, book your bench. Prepare to have your meal by the pool.
Do take note, it can be quite windy, therefore do not leave your clothing lying around as they can be 'blown' into the pool anytime!

We were lucky to enjoy a day with more-clouds and less-crowd

Marina Bay Sands

Disappointment with the room we were given.
No bathtub, no single control tap of hot/cold water
There was some stain on bath towel as well.
Spoon for coffee cup too short - after making hot drink, too hot to hold spoon.
Generally room is very spacious.

Rare hotel in the world where city-view is more expensive than sea-view.
